The Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials is pleased to announce that our Director, Prof Sir Konstantin Novoselov, has been awarded the IPS President Medal by the Institute of Physics Singapore (IPS) as part of the IPS Awards 2026.
The IPS President Medal was commissioned by the IPS Council in August 2004 to mark the Einstein World Year of Physics 2005. It recognises physicists and non-physicists who have provided meritorious service in physics-related fields, benefiting physics in general and the IPS. The medal is awarded on the recommendation of the IPS President with the approval of the IPS Council.
The IPS Awards 2026 will be presented at the IPS Annual Meeting on 28 October 2026 at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
IPS is the leading scientific body for physics in Singapore, with elected members from the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, the National Institute of Education and SUTD. It promotes physics in research, education, industry and the community.
