Team, led by I-FIM Professor Shuzhi Sam Ge, awarded grant award at the Robust AI Grand Challenge

A team comprised of multiple institutions, led by I-FIM Professor Shuzhi Sam Ge, has been chosen as one of the five recipients of Stage 1 funding within the framework of the Robust AI Grand Challenge. AI Singapore has announced its commitment to provide support of up to S$20 million to multidisciplinary teams addressing challenges arising from the growing use of AI in emerging applications. This initiative was organized in partnership with the Future Systems and Technology Directorate of MINDEF Singapore and DSO National Laboratories.

The team’s project, titled “Development of Stable, Robust, and Secure Intelligent Systems for Autonomous Vehicles,” aims to leverage the combined strengths of machine learning, stable control, and generative AI to create an intelligent and robust system capable of dynamically adapting its neural network’s behavior and characteristics in response to adversarial attacks within complex environments.
