Research Interests

My research aims to provide atomic insights into the electronic structure of 2D mateirals via a combination of scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and van der Waals (vdW) technology. Most of my research projects are related to the STM investigation on graphene/2D materials heterostructure, which reveal various interesting phenomena at the interface include giant gate-tunable band gap renormalization and excitonic effects, emergence of peculiar charge orderings, and electronic manifestination of spin-flip transition.
