Biography
Cynthia is the Administrative Director at the Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials (I-FIM) and heads the administrative team at the Institute. Her role at I-FIM is to support the Directors in the setting up and administrative management of the Institute that will be home to over 150 scientists and graduate students. She has over 20 years of wide-spectrum administrative experience, having first served at the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore (NUS), followed by 11 years as Administrative Director at the Mechanobiology Institute (MBI), which, like I-FIM, is also a Research Centre of Excellence. She holds a BSc in Biology from National University of Singapore and had a research career prior to entering the administrative services.
