Biography

Dr. Altantuya Ochirkhuyag is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Szeged, Hungary (2021), and specializes in synthesizing and characterizing functional nanomaterials, particularly graphene and metal oxide nanoparticles derived from natural mineral resources and waste materials. Her research addresses critical applications for water purification, catalysis, and advanced materials used for environmental remediation. She has received the Chemistry for Climate Action Challenge Award from Elsevier Foundation (2024) and the Prof. Yoo Hang Kim Young Women Scientists Award from the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (2023).
